About us

Express crates factory, Cromer, Sydney

Paul Smith has been working as a site-manager on major exhibitions and events across Australia for the past 30 years.

Paul became involved with the 'Pack and Send' franchise chain, which gave him an insight into the importance of proper packaging across all industries.

Paul found that one of the major problems with packaging, storage and logistics for transporting delicate displays, joinery items, signage, electrical equipment and bulk expo stock, was the huge costs involved with the empty crates and boxes being stored or for return freight.

Product development

After careful market research Paul developed unique easy-to-assemble wooden flat-pack crates that can be used again and again to cut down on your freight costs, minimise damage in transit, simplify your stock movement and reduce storage space.

Express Crates' unique, easy-to-use clip system means that you only need our 'easy clip removal tool' (which we supply you with) or a basic screwdriver to open our crates, no other tools are required for assembly or disassembly.

All our products are made from recycled materials, such as plywood and MDF wood in an effort to minimise waste and become more eco-friendly.

We specialise in making flat-pack reusable crates for machinery, motorbikes, valuable goods, computers, art and exhibition equipment and we can customise the size of your crates to certain specifications, depending on your order.

Express Crates is based at 34/8 Narabang Way, Belrose, NSW 2085 Sydney.
